Guest lectures of d-r Aneta Vasiljevic-Shikaleska the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor, Slovenia

 

In the period 8 - 12 May 2017, d-r Aneta Vasiljevic-Shikaleska, has participated at the 11th International Week, hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Maribor, Slovenia.

The purpose of the International week is to enhance the international collaboration among higher education institutions and to increase  the international mobility of  students and teaching staff.

Within the 11th International week prof. Vasiljevic-Shikaleska had several activities:

  1. Oral presentation of a paper titled "The Quest for Optimal Fusion of Learning, Teaching and Evaluation for Improving Student Classroom Performance", at the  first international symposium ‘Teaching Methods for Economics and Business Studies’ , 8th of May 2017
  2. Guest lecture on the topic "Quantitative Methods in Economics and Business", held on 10th of May, 2017
  3. Guest lecture on the topic "The Circular Economy: Barriers and Opportunities for SMEs", held on 10th of May, 2017

 


The lectures were held on two different group of students. The aim of the lectures was to introduce the students from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Maribor with the application of various mathematical and statistical models for analyzing and solving different problems in many areas of economics and business, as well as with the concept of the Circular Economy and the importance of its implementation in period when it is necessary to  make a balance between economic development on the one hand and the use of resources and environmental protection on the other. Also, the intention of these lectures was to share the experiences on different  teaching and learning methods utilized at the Integrated Business Faculty in Skopje, where prof. Shikaleska is employed, and the Faculty of Economics and  Business, University of Maribor.

 


The overall experience from the  stay was very positive and has created basis for further cooperation between Integrated Business Faculty in Skopje and the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor.


The participation of prof. Vasiljevic-Shikaleska at the 11th International Week, hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor was supported by the  Erasmus + program.
